An article on Zagreb street names and monuments by Laura Šakaja in Routledge volume on Urban Streetscapes

The article „The spatial codification of values in Zagreb’s city-text” by Laura Šakaja and Jelena Stanić is published in the volume The Political Life of Urban Streetscapes: Naming, Politics, and Place (Routledge), edited by  Reuben Rose-Redwood, Derek Alderman and Maoz Azaryahu.

The authors analyse changing of street names and monuments in public spaces in Zagreb. The transformation of streetscapes is interpretd semiotically, as elements of dynamic structure of spatial-semiotic urban landscape.
