Publication and launch of the book From State Art to Creative Industries / Transforming Gender, Political and Religious Narratives
Nevena Škrbić Alempijević co-edited an anthology entitled From State Art to Creative Industries/ Transforming Gender, Political and Religious Narratives, which is published by the Croatian Association of Visual Artists. Other co-editors of the book are: Josip Zanki, Marijana Paula Ferenčić, Sanja Potkonjak and Marijana Belaj. The anthology is an outcome of an international scientific conference organized to mark the European Day of Artistic Creativity in 2015.
Book launch will be held at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Library on Tuesday, January 19th, 2016 at 11 h. The book will be presented by the reviewers, Rosana Ratkovčić and Tomislav Pletenac, as well as by the editors.
The anthology tackles the issue of the relationship between art and city-making processes. In order to deal with those questions more thoroughly, based on the previous collaboration on the conference and book preparation, a more intensive cooperation between the project City-making: Space, Culture and Identity, and CreArt, the project of the Croatian Association of Visual Artists, is established.
